Zhuzhou, China’s biggest zinc smelter, is meeting its commitment tocut 50,000 tonnes of refined zinc production this year, sources said- and other smelters in the country could follow suit while rawmaterial concentrates become more expensive and progressivelyscarcer.Zhuzhou cut refined zinc production by at least 4,500 tonnes inNovember and by the same volume in December, several sources inthe Chinese zinc market told Metal Bulletin.
