Peru’s zinc output declines 5.4% in February; lead, precious metals up

Metallic zinc production in Peru fell 5.4% year-on-year in February,according to the country’s energy and mining ministry, MEM.Output came to 107,003 tonnes, compared with 113,151 tonnes inFebruary 2015, the figures showed.Antamina, the country’s leading zinc producer, saw its output fallby 13.1% year-on-year, to 19,517 tonnes in February.
