Thinning inventories and historic gains in raw material costs have setmanganese alloy prices up for a rally, market participants told MetalBulletin sister publication AMM.US high-carbon ferro-manganese spot prices rose to $840 to $880per gross ton on October 27, according to AMM’s latest assessment, upfrom $810 to $850 per ton on October 6 and the highest level seensince early September 2015 when prices were at $850 to $900 pertonne.
