US West Coast ferrous scrap exporters are riding the wave of upwardprice momentum sweeping through the domestic and globalmarkets, booking two bulk cargoes to Asia late last week.After bypassing the US export market for almost three months, aSouth Korean producer booked 48,000 tonnes of No1 heavy meltingscrap from a West Coast exporter at $272 per tonne cfr on FridayDecember 2. The deal is priced $51 per tonne cfr higher than the lastsale transacted to South Korea in late September.
