Zinc metal to be recovered from steelworks dust

US-BASED Electrowinning Technologies is to produce high-grade zinc metal, grading 99.9 percent, from steel furnace dust at the Pittini Group's Ferriere Nord mini mill in Osoppo, Italy. The facility is the world's first steel recycling company to utilise the new dust recycling technology which commenced in December and is currently operating at full capacity.
