MINOR METALS CHINA – May: Tellurium, selenium saw big price falls; gallium stable on market stalemate

Tellurium and selenium dioxide were the two major losers withprices down 7.3% and 6.7%, respectively, month-on-month in May,because of oversupply in the tellurium market and underselling ofselenium dioxide by suppliers wanting to balance their first-halffinancial reports.There were small falls in prices for indium (4.2%), antimony(3.8%), bismuth (3.7%) and germanium (1.4%) month-on-month inMay as producers were eager to get cash back, while demand wassluggish in the spot market.
