South Korea has come back to the US bulk ferrous scrap market, after asix-month hiatus, booking a West Coast cargo at weaker prices.While the return perked up the US ferrous scrap export market, it wasdimmed by lower-than-expected prices, sources said. A South Koreanproducer bought No1 heavy melting scrap at $185 per tonne cfr from a USexporter out of Oakland, California. The last cargo deal between SouthKorea and the USA was last July.
