Hernic to close two charge chrome furnaces

South African ferrochrome producer Hernic is to close two 37 MVA charge chrome furnaces over the next few months.The closure will enable the company to carry out refractory maintenance.The two furnaces have been working at capacity since the company started up four-and-a-half years ago.
