Metl-Span And Zero-Loc Form Alliance

Metl-Span, Lewisville, TX, and Zer-O-Loc Enterprises LTD, Richmond, British Columbia, CAN, have announced a strategic alliance that will provide Zer-O-Loc with exclusive distribution rights for Mel-Span's polyurethane insulated foam panels in Canada. Metl-Span is best known for its polyurethane foam panels while Zer-O-Loc is noted for its expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulated systems. According to Karl Hielscher, president of Metl-Span, "We have participated in the Canadian market but certainly not to the degree we believe we should. One of the reasons for building our plant in Virginia was to provide the capacity necessary to serve the Canadian market. This partnership with Zer-O-Loc is clearly the most efficient way to impact the market. This will give us a significant presence there."
