Hopefully they were comforted by the fact it was a local company and that an architect had been hired to make sure the new construction was compatible with the semi-rural setting. Farm Supply Co. is a local institution, having operated in and around San Luis Obispo for decades. One of the goals behind hiring J. W. Design and Construction Inc. and Steven D. Pults & Associates to design the new location was creating an iconic image. And that's what the barn-like architecture does.
