Ferro-vanadium has moved “from the outhouse to the penthouse”as the commodity continues its stellar rise, one US supplier sourcesaid, with some suggesting the increase will continue as long assupply-side constraints influence the market.“Hardly anyone has enough material to cover the full quantitiesrequested, so the quoted prices will be interesting. Contract offtakeremains very strong and [producers’] inventories remainchallenged,” a second supplier source said.
