Paranapanema studies Teck Cominco offer for Paraibuna de Metais

Brazilian non-ferrous metals conglomerate Paranapanema has signed an agreement to study an offer from Canada's Teck Cominco to purchase the entire capital of its electrolytic zinc producing subsidiary Paraibuna de Metais.A decision on whether the offer will be accepted will be made within 90 days, said a Paranapanema spokesman, who added that "prospects are very positive for a favourable outcome on the agreement".
