LME WEEK 2016: CME closes copper trading volume gap on LME

The CME is snapping at the heels of the London Metal Exchange in thecopper market, with the gap in trading volumes between the twoexchanges narrowing this year.Comparing the two exchange’s volumes on a like-for-like basis isdifficult because they offer contracts with different specifications anddifferent sizes – 25 tonnes per lot in the LME’s copper contracts and25,000 lb per lot on the CME forwards.
