China Construction Bank completed its purchase of a 75% stake inMetdist Trading Ltd on Wednesday April 6 to create CCBI Metdist,which will be the first company majority owned by a Chinese bank tohave ring-dealing membership of the London Metal Exchange.CCBI Metdist, or CCBI Metdist Global Commodities (UK) Ltd to give itits full name, will begin trading from CCB’s new London offices laterthis year after a process that began two years ago and was concludedshortly after 9am on Wednesday for a sum that was not disclosed.
