School Board Appreciates Contemporary Design

Brookside Elementary School, Indianapolis, is one of about 10 schools in the Indianapolis Public School system that has undergone construction or renovation as part of a large capital improvements program. The two-story, 90,000-square-foot (8,361 -m~2) facility, built on the site of an older school that was outdated, has the most contemporary design of the new schools. It also has been lauded for its contribution to the enhancement and beautification of the area, receiving an achievement award in the project/community development category of the Monumental Awards program sponsored by Keep Indianapolis Beautiful.
