Coper Represents Life In Architect's A ward-Winning Chapel Design

Kodet Architectural Group Ltd. recently received a national Design Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects' Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art and Architecture (IFRAA). It was bestowed for the firm's design of a 6,400 sq. ft. multi-use chapel for St. Croix Lutheran High School in West St. Paul, MN. Among the materials featured on the project, both inside and out, were copper wall panels. They were formed from material provided by Firestone Metal Products/UNA-CLAD, Anoka, MN. Recognized for architectural excellence in the category of New Facilities, Kodet provided planning and design services to ensure the St. Croix Chapel would serve the school's student body for the next quarter century. Important to the planning was confirming the mission of "educating the total student-spiritually, intellectually and physically-in a caring Christian family community." The building's form reflects St. Croix's beliefs and features three curved walls symbolizing the Holv Trinity.
