Unpainted Panels Help Turn City's Desire to Improve Pool Facility into Reality

Intent on improving the condition of a neighborhood swimming facility in one of the city's less fortunate areas, officials in Corpus Christi, TX, turned to a local designer, John R. Wright, Architect, for help. After determining the existing structures were not worth saving, the architect designed new, low-maintenance structures using metal.The HEB Pool is named for Howard E. Butt, founder of the HEB grocery chain. Providing an influence for the new bathhouse and offices were building forms found on the surrounding ranches and farms.
