Sexual dysfunction and treatment in alcoholic women

Female in-patients at an alcoholic rehabilitation center and a half-way house were evaluated in terms of their sexual functioning. They were then given an opportunity to participate in a 12 session sexual enhancement program including components of sex education, sexual awareness, sexual dysfunction, and sexual assertiveness. Both subjective and objective data suggest that such a program can be very beneficial.
