The University of Florida Research and Academic Center at Lake Nona in Orlando, Fla., is a research, academic and conferencing facility built to allow interaction between the university and the Lake Nona Medical Center. Designed by St. Louis-based HOK with structural design by Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based Novum Structures, the $44 million, 100,000-square-foot facility enables the university to have direct collaboration opportunities with the Sanford-Burnham IVIedical Research Institute at Lake Nona's top scientists.
