MR. KENNEDY'S COLLECTIONS

Mias Kennedy admired many kinds of plants. Cycads, gethyllis, lachenalias, and what one used to call stapeliads, all of them found a home in his garden and hothouse. But he is most closely associated with mesembs, particularly Conophytum arthurolfago, Cher mar ium, C.kennedyi, C.pardicolor, C.smorenskaduense, and Lithops villetii subsp. kennedyi, all collected by Kennedy in the 1960's.
