THE 2010 NORTH WEST MESEMB SHOW

We had an early start on Saturday 9th October as I had forgone setting up the night before (it is never a good idea to deprive one's partner of a meal out on her birthday). Several stalwarts were at the venue for around 7.00 am and the work of transforming the church hall into a suitable show arena was commenced - even before the um had been filled. It was not long before the place resembled a show; nothing as cheap as white paper to cover the tables this year - pale lemon yellow material had been donated and deftly transformed into well fitting tablecloths by my wife making it much easier and to cover the tables. By 9.00 am the classes had been set out, class cards, deftly compiled on the computer by Ivor Crook, were in place and the early birds were already putting their entries on the tables.
