Preincubation of homogenates from rat brain thalamus and striatum affects the rate of 3HGABA uptake

The effect of preincubation of brain homogenates on the subsequent uptake of 3HGABA was studied in rat thalamus and corpus striatum. The results show that in both brain regions preincubation causes a decrease in the initial rate of 3HGABA influx, the phenomenon being most evident in the thalamus.
