Results are presented from experimental studies performed to determine the electrical potentials that can be recorded between the shell and tuyeres of blastfurnace No. 9 at the ArselorMittal Krivoy Rog company. Changes in those potentials are used to analyze processes that place in the hearth of the furnace.
