摘要

This article examines a modern approach to the automatic detection and elimination of sheared regions in the coating and lining of high-productivity rotary furnaces. The use of modern infrared-imaging systems in combination with computer imaging and mathematical modeling is making it possible to detect these defects in real time and predict their growth. They can be eliminated without stopping the furnace by using a proprietary technology that entails the controlled injection of recycled dust into the furnace.
