Compared to alkaline bentonite, the organic binder examined here ensures the formation of a more porous pellet structure in which moisture is more uniformly distributed over the cross section. The existence of a dry annular internal region in combination with high porosity makes it possible to predict that pellets with the organic binder will remain stable during drying - including rapid drying.
