Experience of Producing Low-Sulfur Steel X70 at the Benxi Iron and Steel Plant (BX Steel)

A reduction in sulfur content within strength category X70 pipe steel for oil and gas pipelines is a key factor for product quality. Thorough metal desulfurizing technology parameters are considered, providing a sulfur content of not more than 0.0020% in 95% of melts, and on average at a level of 0.0014%.
