USE OF PRODUCTS FROM THE PROCESSING OF METALLURGICAL SLAGS IN SINTER PRODUCTION

The use of metal concentrates in sinter production at Ural Steel has made it possible to reduce the consumption of imported iron-ore-bearing raw materials (concentrates, pellets), lower the production costs of sinter and pig iron, and make cast iron for ingot molds that contains more manganese than synthetic cast iron. The latter change has had a positive effect on the durability of the molds.
