摘要

The effect of carbon on the development of low-alloy steel slab and sheet surface defects is analyzed. Limits are determined for the concentration of nonferrous metal impurities that does not have a visible effect on continuously-cast slab quality. Measures are developed making it possible the reduce the amount and degree of continuously-cast slab crack development.
