This article examines aspects of the production of stabilized high-strength 9.6-mm-diam. reinforcement bars for the new generation of ferroconcrete railroad ties. The rheological properties of new grades of alloy steel are studied and regimes for their mechanical shaping are modeled. Improvements are made to existing regimes for the production of reinforcement bars. Practical application of the research findings has made it possible to reduce the number of bars that do not meet specifications and has made production of the bars more profitable.
