It's nice to see the absolute care in blending of the stone, the reopening of the quarry, and the careful restoration of details. It's a small project that required a great deal of love, and it shows that it was done with loving care. It's one of those very small jewels that we love to see. Hopefully, for the lay person it will look as though it has always been there - and that's a tribute to the architect. We also appreciate the detailing that went into the project on the part of the architect and the craftsmanship of the carvers and other workers. Both the architect and the contractor deserve a lot of credit for putting it together so well. A labor of love, beautifully done and worthy of very high praise.
