A hollow-fibre membrane module (200) and a 'puller' mechanism (300) for use with the module is disclosed. The mechanism enables the hollow-fibre membrane module to be easily removed from (or pulled out of) a filtration apparatus should it be necessary to replace or repair it. The filtration apparatus can contain a plurality of hollow-fibre membrane modules. A module is composed of a hollow-fibre membrane (220), and at least one header (210) to which the hollow-fibre membrane is potted.
