Siemens' pulsed-air MBR reduces operating costs

Siemens Water Technologies has developed a new membrane bioreac-tor (MBR) that uses a mechanical device to supply irregular pulses of air to the MBR module. This decreases operation and maintenance costs, reduces energy consumption and increases scouring effectiveness, says the firm.
