摘要

Description The book entitled, RT X-Ray Physics Review by Huda and Greene-Donnelly, is a semisoft cover edition with an 8.5 x 11 in. format and printed on high quality, bright-white, nonglossy paper. The book is 460 pages in length and includes useful appendices and links. The book is organized into three major parts: Basic Physics, Imaging with X-rays and Dose, Quality and Safety. These three parts are equally divided into a total of 15 chapters that follow a logical order. Each chapter is further subdivided into a few sections giving the book a tidy organization. At the end of each chapter is a section containing 30 questions along with the correct answers, a short explanation of each correct answer and pertinent references addressing answers (usually Bushong and Carlton/Adler). Chapters are formatted in bulleted outline form and as such do not constitute formal discussions in prose about any subject. When needed to drive a point home, tables, graphs, or photographs are included. The book has a useful table of contents that provides the organizational structure of the book and also serves as the book's index which is absent at the rear of the book. Purpose The purpose of this book is to provide a complete checklist of topics to know when studying for the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (AART) examination. This book is not intended, in my opinion, to be "read" cover to cover. Indeed there is no prose to be read at all. Instead, the authors provide chapters formatted as bulleted indepth checklists of topics that they feel are needed to be mastered in order to successfully complete the ARRT examination. Where needed, tables and illustrations are used to reinforce certain topics. Audience This book is written for anyone seeking to successfully pass the AART examination. The book could also easily be used by radiology residents who wish to have a topic checklist in order to prepare for the American Board of Radiology Core examination.
