摘要

It is estimated that only 30% of Canadian physicians employ electronic health records (EHRs), as compared with 50% in the United States and more than 90% in Denmark and other European nations. The slow rate of EHR uptake by Canadian physicians has been traced to such causes as confusion about products, lack of government investment, government mismanagement and the often-Balkanized nature of the health systems operated by the provincial, territorial and federal governments.
