Voltage‐frequency thresholds for MBBA viewed in transverse electric fields

Observations have been made of the behavior of MBBA nematic liquid crystal by viewing perpendicular to the direction of applied electric fields. Voltage threshold characteristics and dynamic‐scattering patterns were different from those commonly seen when viewed parallel to the applied field direction.
