Comments further to: privacy, professionalism and Facebook: a dilemma for young doctors.

摘要

The research by MacDonald et at1 published in a recent edition of this journal, which glimpses into the online lives of young doctors, is important because its subject represents a useful tool with which to teach medical professionalism. However, the most striking issue raised in this paper is the ethical dilemma inherent in whether or not the type of information used in the article should be accessed by researchers, something that the authors recognise as controversial.
