A vector phenomenological model for digital recording

摘要

A vector phenomenological model is used to analyze digitally recorded magnetization transitions. The model assumes that a field along a principal axis magnetizes the media along that axis, while a field perpendicular to that axis demagnetizes it. The magnetizing process divides a calculation plane into four regions: the region that is magnetized positively, the region that is magnetized negatively, the region that is demagnetized, and the region that is unaffected by the process. The magnetization is then calculated as the integral of the magnetization density function over the positively magnetized region minus the integral of the density function over the negatively magnetized region plus the magnetization of the unaffected region. The calculations presented here are obtained from a simplification of the more general Preisachhyphen;like threehyphen;dimensional model.
