VENEZUELA'S COAL EXPORTS fell 6.5 year on year in January-September, to 1.41 mt from 1.50 mt, according to customs statistics. This year's shipments annualise to 1.88 mt, down 6.5 from 2.01 mt of actual exports last year. However, 2015 volumes are expected to be below 1.88 mt because of the partial closure of the border with Colombia almost two months ago, which has cuts exports of Colombian material through Venezuelan ports by 0.25-0.30 mt/month.
