AUSTRALIAN shippers THROUGH the new Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal at Gladstone - including Glencore and Yancoal - have formally challenged take-or-pay contracts with major rail haulier Aurizon. The move is an intensification of the growing shipper revolt against costly take-or-pay deals - impacting both rail and terminals charges -with Aurizon warning of potentially significant damage to its earnings.
