At the end of November, output was halted at Metaleurop's Noyelles-Godault when workers went on strike. The French plant normally produces 105,000 tpy of zinc and 170,000 tpy of lead. Workers returned to work on Tuesday December 7th after reaching a deal with the management. Metaleurop was reported to be losing 1 - 1.5 million francs per day during the action. MBR estimates around 2,000 tonnes of zinc production was lost.
