The short-term outlook for seamless prices is relatively firm. Raw material costs are still feeding through to the market, and supply/demand fundamentals are better for producers than they were last year. These factors are likely to keep prices high for at least the next quarter; after that market fundamentals are likely to become the decisive factor in deciding changes in prices before the end of the year. Looking further ahead, OCTG demand in the Middle East and Africa seems particularly strong and prices will only soften if these regions suffer oversupply through imports.
