We remain bearish aluminium in 2016

Aluminium ended 2015 at $1,501/tonne, but a jittery start to equity tradingin China this year, led to weakness across the base metals complex and thatdragged aluminium down to a low of $1,451.50/tonne on Thursday, before somedip buying emerged. Interestingly, aluminium was one of the metals to sufferthe least, both on the LME and the SHFE, with prices on both exchanges closingdown just 0.7% on the week, compared with LME copper that was down 4.1%.
