There were also several important announcements on the mining side. Later this month shipping of Century concentrates to other destinations other than Budel zinc smelter in the Netherlands will commence. The giant Australian mine has continued to defy expectations and rumours of teething problems. Another positive development for supply was the quick recovery at Tara. An industrial dispute at Outokumpu's mine in Ireland was settled after workers voted in favour of proposals put forward by mediators on February 17. In April, Outokumpu announced that the mine was producing at 100 percent capacity after the dispute, and the company has confirmed that its previously announced expansion is now to proceed. According to the company, zinc-in-concentrate production is expected to exceed 170,000 tonnes this year rising to over 200,000 tpy thereafter.
