CIWM and ESA join forces as industry lobby group

A new resource management lobbying group has been launched by the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) and the Environmental Services Association (ESA). Resources & Waste UK (RWUK) was set up to work on behalf of the CIWM and ESA to influence the Government, MPs, regulators and media. It will also co-ordinate policy activities between the two parent organisations. A joint CIWM and ESA statement said it will "deliver strong, consistent messages about the industry's capabilities and needs".
