As with many metals, the importance of the next few weeks cannot beoverstated when it comes to demand levels, and tin is no exception. Asfactories reopen after the summer holiday period, markets will be on highalert for evidence of under or over performance of buying activity andevidence of forward activity. For tin, the next month or so will be particularlyimportant as they tend to mark the point at which we start to get a sense ofpre-Christmas order levels for electronics goods – indicators which in turnindicate tin solder demand.
