PRN data shows low level of steel waste

Traders in Packaging Recovery Notes (PRNs) have warned of a low level of steel recovered in the first quarter of the year, following the release of the latest Environment Agency (EA) packaging data. In the three months to March, some 78,000 tonnes of steel were accepted for reprocessing or exported, down 27% compared with the same quarter last year.
