PRODUCERS OF GEO-TEXTILES, THE NON-WOVEN 2m-wide dry laid fabric, have become a major user of recycled processed, machined textile arisings from all sources. The fabric is extensively used in road building, pipe laying and scaffolding cladding for weather protection in the construction industry. In road building, a site is bulldozed and cleared, the fabric is laid down and the aggregate is tipped on to it, which insulates the roadway from its base and prevents the creation of extra mud. It is rolled and a top surface dressing is applied, makinga firm and long-lasting track.
