摘要

LIFE-SIZED WASTE SCULPTURES JOINED SURPRISED COMMUTERS at St Pancras International station last Friday to launch Watch Your Waste Week. The initiative, which has been shortlisted for a National Recycling Award, is designed to lower London's carbon footprint by reducing waste. The sculptures, entitled A day in the life of, showed a variety of everyday activities from having breakfast through to reading the paper and relaxing in front of the TV. The brainchild of London artist Julie Beech, each sculpture represents the amount of waste thrown away weekly by the average person (approximately 5kg).
