THERE IS A GROWING AWARENESS AMONG RECYCLERS AND REPROCESSORS IN THE UK that producing quality recovered materials will give their businesses the best chance of securing competitive prices for their recyclate, even in times of recession. Because high-quality materials consistently find domestic and international outlets, the industry is increasingly looking at ways to remove the barriers -perceived and actual - that may be preventing materials recycling facilities from producing outputs of a high enough quality to compete. If MRF outputs are of a high quality, householders can be confident that the materials they send for recycling are being processed effectively.
