E-Coat Primer Operation Opens in France for Aerospace Applications

PPG Aerospace (Sylmar, California) opened a new laboratory and inaugurated an electrocoat (e-coat) aerospace primer pilot operation at its coatings research center in Marly, France. Like the company's first e-coat aerospace primer system located near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Marly installation will be used for customer application trials and qualifications. "Investments in research and development like this one in Marly are important to e-coat technology adaptation and implementation within the aerospace industry," says Daniel Bencun, PPG's aerospace coatings segment manager for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region.
